NOTE FROM THE OWNERS—–All showers are open air, cool water, outdoor showers. (While the owners description may have mentioned hot water in some of the cabins, it is not a guarantee. The hot water systems are finicky here, so they don’t want to make any promises). If anyone needs a hot shower, they are welcome to use the bathroom on the yoga deck. This shower is hooked up to a propane hot water heater and is fairly reliable.
The Osa Peninsula is one of the most biodiverse places on Earth and home to over half of the species found here in Costa Rica. On our grounds, you will see four different types of monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths, and everything else you would imagine in a real live jungle.
Surrounding Tierra, you will discover unspoiled rainforest trails, waterfalls tumbling into hidden swimming holes, river lagoons and tidal pools perfect for cooling off in the middle of a hot day, rocky outcrops made for fishing, and an array of spectacular beaches to swim, sun and surf.
A secluded, off-the-grid jungle hide-out nestled between pristine Pacific beaches and tropical virgin rainforest in the wilds of the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. Handcrafted thatch-roof bungalows and rustic, eco-conscious cabinas are scattered within this lush botanical garden we share with the monkeys, macaws, toucans, and sloths.
Surrounding this magical space, you will discover waterfalls, tide pools, a beautiful river lagoon, and an array of spectacular beaches to swim, sun and surf.
Having hosted many years of deeply restorative and magical retreats, the legendary private sanctuary continues to be a unique and special space to reinvigorate your practice or passion, contemplate and experience true connection with nature, and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
Getting Here
To get here, you will fly from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez. There are two local airlines with multiple daily flight. Check www.flysansa.com and www.natureair.com. ****The time of year you plan to come is one of the busiest, so these flights will sell out. Book as early as possible. Once you arrive to Puerto Jimenez, we will arrange for a taxi to pick you up and bring you out to the retreat. It’s about a 40 minute drive. The cost is $40-$50. This is a total cost, so typically there are a few people coming in on the same flight that can share the cab.

Worst case scenario for last minute sign ups would be to either fly to Golfito and take a ferry or water taxi over to Puerto Jimenez, or take the Osa Shuttle (a van that travels between San Jose and Puerto Jimenez once per day). The shuttle takes around 6hrs.
